ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Shelly Nosbisch is a chaos coordinator.
She will solve problems you didn’t even know you had. She also lives for trivia nights. Something about pulling all that claptrap and drivel out of her brain makes her happy. (Especially when her team wins.) She considers the dragonfly her guiding spirit because it signifies transformation and change. Mysteries are her true love. Writing cozy mysteries is the best because she always gets to be the first reader.
An Omaha native, Shelly Nosbisch relished in writing growing up, but negative feedback from her college lit mag shut her down for twenty years. Yet the craving to write never left her, so she began again in secret. At first it was sneaky, as though someone was going to catch her at it, but soon she joined a generative writing group and then a critique group and soon all her friends were writers. She pursued an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts, graduating in 2017.
Shelly is living her best life when she’s teaching writing as well. She is a teaching artist with Nebraska Writers Collective, teaching spoken word poetry, micro fiction, and novel writing. She adores coaching teens in All Writes Reserved, a spoken word poetry festival.
A voracious reader, Shelly can often be found lurking in the stacks at the local library so she can afford her reading habit.
